Find inner peace through your pictures.

Is your cell phone full of photos? Or if you are older, do you have any boxes or totes full of printed pictures in your home? Consider printing them out in color or black and white and make a scrapbook or as shown, a mural project.

A mom in East Hampshire has turned her entire living room wall into a photo montage to remind her family of happier times to help them cope with COVID trauma.

Louise Whapshott wanted to celebrate decades of special memories the family made together before the pandemic to remind them all better days are coming and spent six hours covering an entire wall of her home with 700 black and white photos of special memories.

Louise’s 49-year-old husband Martin ended up in the ICU from the virus back in April 2020, while his father Jim died at age 77, after catching it in his care home the same month. Her two teenagers both still suffer from long COVID and chronic fatigue since catching the virus at school in late 2020.

Not only has this wall of memories helped the family cope with the death of their loved ones but it has brought inner peace to their home. Doing a project of this nature is a great reminder that life can be short and can change quickly. You don’t have to do a mural, you can simply do a book or gather pictures to look at. My guess is younger people will make a photo album to share or post online. This was a great way for the family to see what they have done together and look forward to more great times too.
